On March 22, members of the Women of FOX Sports group volunteered at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), a nonprofit hospital providing care to more than 107,000 children each year. The event came as part of CHLA's annual #MakeMarchMatter campaign, through which the hospital aims to raise $1 million in support of its programs and services. FOX Sports colleagues received a tour of the hospital and spent time with the patients by serving food and hosting arts & crafts activities.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, and "Xploration Earth 2050" received two nominations, one for Outstanding Special Class Series and another for Outstanding Writing Special Class. Nespresso and TechnoServe, a development non-profit organization, are pleased to announce a new partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to strengthen efforts to rebuild the coffee industry in the new country of South Sudan and improve coffee farmer livelihoods. USAID will invest $3.18 million during three years in the project, which has already helped revive South Sudan’s coffee industry, diversify its export market and raise the household incomes of smallholder coffee farmers.
In spring 2015, FOX Sports partnered with Seton Hall University for the FOX Sports University program, a unique initiative that gives college students the chance to gain hands-on experience in the sports industry. The program pairs teams of students with FOX Sports executives to work on a real-world challenge facing the business. GSK is targeting a carbon neutral value chain by 2050 and has ambitious goals to reduce carbon, water and waste in the meantime. We’ve made significant progress in the last five years. In fact, we turned a corner in 2014 and by the end of 2015, 60% of GSK sites globally sent no waste to landfill. To better understand what zero waste to landfill means in the US, I spoke with Gary, GSK Shipping Coordinator at our Marietta, PA vaccine manufacturing and packaging site. Gary has worked with GSK for nearly ten years and has led the Waste Management Committee for this site to achieve this remarkable environmental milestone.
