Openings for Global Health Corporate Champions in Accra Ghana

Global Health Corporate Champions is making pro bono experiences more accessible and affordable for companies interested in exploring pro bono in a critical emerging market. PYXERA Global is fielding a multi-corporate, cross functional team of 10-12 professionals for a four-week assignment in Accra, Ghana in June, 2016, under the USAID Global Health Fellows Program II.

Rebuilding Together, Lowe’s and NFL Players Team Up During Super Bowl Weekend to Help Transform San Francisco Community Through Kickoff to Rebuild

Rebuilding Together — a leading national nonprofit in safe and healthy housing that provides low-income homeowners with critical home repairs — will join together with its affiliate, Rebuilding Together San Francisco and more than fifteen NFL players from teams across the country, to lead its 21st annual Kickoff to Rebuild, a Super Bowl 50 sanctioned event. This year’s event, in partnership with Lowe’s, will take place on February 5 in the Bayview neighborhood and will be the culmination of a series of projects across the Bay Area by five Rebuilding Together affiliates.

American Households Not Prepared For Disasters, Not Confident That Children’s Needs Will Be Met

The United States is experiencing a number of extreme weather events. Ten years after Hurricane Katrina and three years after Superstorm Sandy, the vast majority of Americans remain unprepared for major disasters, according to results from a National Center for Disaster Preparedness (NCDP) research study. Many communities, systems and child-serving institutions are not sufficiently prepared to meet the needs of children when a crisis strikes. And many parents are not confident that their children will be protected and are not aware of what plans schools have made to be sure that children are safe in case of a catastrophic event in their community.

FOX's 'Grease: Live' Partners with DoSomething.org for Teens for Jeans Campaign

In an effort to help the more than one million young people in the United States who experience homelessness every year, the cast of FOX's hit musical special Grease: Live partnered with DoSomething.org for its annual Teens for Jeans campaign, encouraging youth to collect jeans for the homeless. FOX promoted the campaign across its social media platforms during the live broadcast on Sunday, January 31, and members of both the cast and the audience got involved, as well.
