Bread of Life, Inc., a Quest for Health Equity (Q4HE) grantee, recently hosted its third annual Community Baby Shower in Houston, where 100 expectant moms and their guests were showered with refreshments, games, entertainment—and plenty of baby gear.

CITGO Petroleum Corporation and its local Marketer Mid-State Petroleum recently teamed up to support the 5th annual Emily’s Kids Foundation Benefit Ride held in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Nearly 50 attendees participated in the motorcycle ride, raising approximately $2,700. All proceeds from the ride will help provide financial relief to local families for daily expenses that accumulate during pediatric cancer treatment visits such as parking, food, gas and other unexpected costs.
“Beau Rivage was selected as this year’s Corporate Partner of the Year in recognition of the support the Beau has given to the American Red Cross Southeast Mississippi Chapter in a number of ways, from board leadership and employee volunteer work, to the support for the Red Cross RendezVIEW and, for the past seven years, the Moonlight & Magnolias Gala, which is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said Red Cross Southeast Mississippi Chapter Executive Director John McFarland. “Together the Red Cross and Beau Rivage have raised more than a half-million dollars for this chapter with this event alone. We know the Beau doesn’t do these things just for recognition, but we value the relationship so highly we want to recognize and honor MGM Resorts and Beau Rivage for all that they do."
The Taproot Foundation is pleased to announce it has received a $35,000 grant from the Searle Funds at The Chicago Community Trust to fund general operations. Support from the Chicago Community Trust will allow Taproot to expand their work in the local market, ensuring that Chicago’s nonprofit sector has full access to pro bono resources necessary to build strong organizational infrastructure.
