The CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) in the EU reforms and significantly expands the reporting obligations of companies. It extends the reporting requirements and makes it compulsory for big to small and medium-sized enterprises based on a harmonized reporting.
The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) has today published the newest edition of its Food Waste Case Study Booklet, a collection of stories from CGF members, including those of its Food Waste Coalition of Action, highlighting their actions to reduce food loss and create more sustainable supply chains. Arcos Dorados, Latin America’s largest restaurant chain and the world’s largest independent McDonald's franchisee, announced that it will substitute the plastic trays currently used by its guests with trays made from more sustainable materials, further advancing its commitment to positively impact the environment. This initiative takes part in the company’s Recipe for the Future framework, thru which, in 2018, it began a plastic reduction program that has allowed it to remove more than 1,300 tons of this material from its operation.
