The Global Compact in Africa

The potential for economic growth and inclusion in Africa is at an all time high – with private sector investments and operations providing the backbone for long- term growth, prosperity and opportunity. But investment and business activity must be sustainable – bringing value not just financially, but also in social, environmental and ethical terms. The UN Global Compact is placing an emphasis on scaling responsible business and partnerships for sustainable development throughout the continent. For more information, including on the week-long series of events, Africa: Advancing Partnerships and Responsible Business Leadership (Addis Ababa, 9-13 June), please visit www.unglobalcompact.org/NetworksAroundTheWorld/Global_Compact_in_Africa.html.
